The church dedicated to St. John of Rila, situated in the Sofia Theological Seminary’s park, represents a significant religious and historical site in the Lozenets district. Constructed in 1903 and consecrated in 1904, the temple holds both architectural and artistic significance. Its single-nave cross-domed basilica structure, accompanied by a belfry, stands as a remarkable piece of architecture from that period.
