Georgi Slavov Karaslavov, an esteemed Bulgarian writer, novelist, and dramatist, served as the General Secretary and Chairman of the Union of Bulgarian Writers from 1958 to 1962. Acknowledged for his immense literary contributions, Karaslavov remains a significant figure in Bulgarian social-realist literature. His extensive body of work, which includes over a hundred published books, has been translated and distributed in numerous languages worldwide. Several of his novels, such as “Snakha,” “Tatul,” “Selkor,” and “Tango,” have been adapted into screenplays.
