“Slatina” district
The “Slatina” area is located in the eastern part of the capital on an area of 1325.2 hectares, which represents 6.69% of the territory of the Capital Municipality. In the “Slatina” region, the following functional-structural units have been established, divided into residential districts and residential complexes: “Reduta” quarter, “Geo Milev” residential complex, “Yavorov” residential complex, “Yavorov” residential complex. “Hr. Smirnenski”, “Hristo Botev” quarter.
A number of objects of local and state importance are located within the territory of the region: Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Airport “Sofia” EAD and EC RVD; Institute complex of BAS – 4th kilometer; Regional Directorate of Internal Affairs; Registry Agency; the embassies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Armenia, Sweden and China.
On the territory of the region there is a Church “Holy Trinity”. Medical facilities: DKC XXII. Important sports halls and facilities are located here: “Akademik” stadium, “Universiade” hall, “Festivalna” hall, “Arena Armeets” hall.
Schools and kindergartens: 20 pcs. Branches of SU “Kliment Ohridski”, branches of the Academy of Arts, VTU “T. Kableshkov”, Department of Language Education (IHS).
Many different commercial establishments: “Sky City” shopping center, “Galaxy Trade Center” shopping center. Logistics centers and bases: Slatina – Bulgarplod” EAD. Forwarding and logistics terminals: “Haman Avimex”, Trans Log”, “Kaven Orbiko”, “D Age L”, Courier company “FedEx Fly Cargo Bulgaria”. Tangent boundary of the territory is “Tsarigradsko shose” blvd. – exit road for Varna and Burgas.

“Poduyane” area is located on an area of 1,100 hectares and covers a population of 84,274 inhabitants.
A number of significant public, administrative, industrial and commercial facilities are located on the territory of the region, including the neighborhoods “Levski”, “Levski V”, “Levski G”, “Sukha Reka” and “Hadji Diiter”. The largest of them are: Regional Directorate “Food Safety”; District Control Activity Department “GIVE”; Sound recording studio complex “Dolly Media” and TV 7.
“Poduyane” area is provided with 28 units. schools and kindergartens. Larger retail chains are Kaufland, Billa, Penny, Lidl and Fantastico. Industrial sites such as: Sofia Mel EAD Milling Plant, Nilana Bakery AD, Balkan Star AD, Sofia Auto AD, SKGT – Malashevtsi Bus Park, Textile Factory at Brod & Co., Energy Supply District Sofia – North”. Significant sports facilities are: “Georgi Asparuhov” Stadium and “Levski” Sports Complex. Logistics centers and bases are located, including: “Lanka”, “Transcapital”, “Sirius 2010”, “Zimnitsa” and “Danidi”. Active Church temples on the territory of the region are: “Holy Mother of God”, “St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki”, “St. George the Victorious”, “St. Ap. John the Theologian”. Medical facilities: DKC XVIII and DKC XXIII. Hotels: “Accord” and “Astra.
Characteristic for the area are: railway junction “Stochna gara”, “Poduyane” station and “Razpredelitna” station, “Gerena” bus station, exit road for Varna and Burgas.
