Elhovo Ethnographic and Archaeological Museum presents its interesting and unique exhibits in 2 expositions – ethnographic and archaeological, located in 2 different buildings. An original ethnographic exhibition presents the way of life from the cr. XIX and beginning 20th century, both of the local population and of the settlers – Bulgarians from Odrin and White Sea Thrace.

The diverse ethnographic heritage of the municipality of Elhovo and a large part of the Strandzhansko-Sakar region is exhibited thematically: “History”, “Agriculture and animal husbandry”, “Transport, hunting, fishing”, “Traditional crafts”, “Housing and living arrangements”, ” Clothing and ornaments”, “Fabrics and embroideries”, “Holidays and customs”, “Folk art”.

The rich archaeological heritage of Elkhovsko is presented in an archaeological exhibition in a separate exhibition hall. The exhibited exhibits demonstrate the rich millennial culture of the lands along the Lower Tunja, between Strandja and Sakar. Every year the exposition is supplemented and enriched with new unique finds from the joint archaeological research and excavations with the “Strandja” Archaeological Expedition, led by Dr. Daniela Agre from NAIM – BAS. Ethnographic and Archaeological Museum – Elhovo is a recipient of the “Cyril and Methodius” Order – I degree” and “Honorary Coat of Arms of Elhovo-Zlaten Municipality”
