Church “St. Venerable Naum Ohridski”

Religious

On June 20, the Orthodox Church commemorates the memory of Venerable Naum of Ohrid. While the Assumption of St. Naum is traditionally observed on December 23, the date of the summer celebration has been established in honor of this revered figure since the early 18th century.

In Bulgaria, there is currently only one active church dedicated to Venerable Naum, located in the “Druzhba” district of the capital city. This church is situated next to a lake, reminiscent of the monastery founded by Venerable Naum on the shores of Lake Ohrid.
