Absinthe Gallery

Art & Culture

Founded in 2012, Gallery “Absinthe” stands out as Sofia’s unique venue dedicated to showcasing watercolors. Situated at 37 “Samuel” Street, “Absent” is not just an art gallery but also a wine shop, offering a novel experience in the city. It prioritizes watercolor art, providing artists with a platform to display their work, and complements the artistic experience with a curated selection of wines.

“Absinthe” aims to be a hub for watercolor artistry, a challenging yet beautiful painting technique. The gallery’s wine selection is meticulously chosen, featuring a mix of both well-known and exotic varieties, including Pinot Noir, Syrah, Carmenére, Grenache, Nero d’Avola, Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, along with favorites like Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Mavrud.

Every two weeks, “Absinthe” plans to host wine weeks alongside its watercolor exhibitions. This venue is the perfect place to find an original gift—a watercolor canvas paired with a bottle of wine from its exclusive selection. Alternatively, visitors can simply enjoy a glass of wine surrounded by the serene beauty of watercolor paintings.
