The historical museum in the city of Tsarevo is the largest museum south of the regional city of Burgas. It opens its doors on 06.12.2012. as a cultural institution to preserve and promote the heritage of Kraimorska Strandzha. They are exhibited in the museum archaeological finds dating back three millennia and the unique treasures from the village of Sinemorets.

The silver coin hoard, discovered in September 2012, consists of 199 tetradrachms. Among them are the extremely rare coins of the Thracian king Mostis. Until 1991 only 11 silver coins of this king are known to science, kept in numismatic collections in Paris, New York and the Hermitage. There are 36 of them in our museum. The golden treasure – jewelry of a prominent Thracian woman, is a masterpiece of Hellenistic jewelry art from the 3rd century BC. A department of ethnography is to be set aside with an emphasis – the nesting industry, entered in the Representative List of UNESCO, as intangible cultural heritage heritage of mankind. The museum hosts visiting expositions and exhibitions of private collectors.

from September 15 – to June 30:
Monday – Friday: 08.00 – 17.00 Saturday and Sunday: holidays
