The clock tower in Etropole is one of the oldest in Bulgaria. It was built in 1710 by master Todor. It was originally built as an observation and defense tower, which can be judged from the construction method and the openings / manholes / on its three sides. It was built from river stone and tallow. The total height of the tower is 20 m. In 1821, the tower was rebuilt into a clock tower. The experienced craftsman Dido made the clock mechanism, and the bell was taken from the ruined church of the monastery of St. Athanasius. It has been declared an architectural monument of culture.
