Orthodox Church “St. Petka”

Religious

The temple dedicated to Saint Petka Tarnovska, nestled in the “Orlandovtsi” neighborhood near the “Saint Three Saints” monastery in Sofia, has a significant history. Constructed in 1885, the land for this church was generously provided by Mitsa Georeva, a prominent local resident. Notably, Georeva’s grave rests adjacent to the church, marking her connection to the place. The consecration of the church took place on October 14, 1895, officiated by Metropolitan Parthenius of Sofia, signifying its sanctified status within the community.
