SOFIA AIRPORT PARK, T2
The park is spread over a total area of 365 decares and is a designated area for recreation and entertainment. Located around a natural lake with typical vegetation, the park fits the new airport building into the surrounding terrain. The decorative plantings from the lake in the direction of the Iskar river dyke play the role of a natural connection between the two water basins. The network of alleys has a total length of about 2,000 meters. An amphitheater is located in the central part of the park area, on an area of 590 square meters.
The unevenness of the terrain in relation to the maneuvering areas of the airport provides peace of mind for visitors to the park without obstructing the exciting view of the landing and take-off planes.
The Park of Sofia Airport T2 has all the prerequisites to become one of Sofia’s new scenes for outdoor events from the capital’s cultural poster – including those with international participation.
