The Salvation Monument is a tribute to the Bulgarian Jewish community saved during the Second World War. Inaugurated in 2016, the monument stands in the garden area in front of the Parliament and the National Academy of Arts. This monument commemorates and honors the heroic efforts and actions of Bulgarians who protected and saved their Jewish compatriots from deportation and persecution during one of history’s darkest periods.
