The largest multi-functional complex in Southeast Europe and one of the modern symbols of Sofia. It was built on an area of 18,300 square meters and has a volume of 576,800 cubic meters. It consists of 8 floors and 3 underground levels, including 13 halls and 55 conference rooms with a capacity of 100 to 4000 seats. It has a huge exhibition area – over 15,000 square meters. On 11 levels, there are 15,000 square meters of lobbies and halls, on which 6,000 square meters of non-standard exhibition areas can be built.

It has excellent technical equipment and is used for events and events of a very different nature: congresses, conferences, concerts, film screenings, exhibitions and exhibitions. It was opened in 1981 in honor of the 1300th anniversary of the foundation of the Bulgarian state. The idea of creating the NDK was launched by Lyudmila Zhivkova, Minister of Culture of Bulgaria (1975-1981).

The cultural life of the capital, congress and conference activities, business and political events are concentrated in the NDK. With its amenities and excellent technical facilities, with the well-developed infrastructure and integrated services (possibility of banking operations, restaurants, catering, parking, etc.), it is the most preferred place for holding professional exhibitions from various branches. NDK is a member of two of the most prestigious international associations in the field of congress business ICCA and AIPC. In 2005, it was awarded the AIPC Apex Award “World’s Best Convention Center”. In 2011, it took second place in the same competition after the winner “Congress Center Valencia”, Spain NDK is located at “Bulgaria” square #1.
