The fighter for ecclesiastical independence Hilarion Makariopolski, his brother Nikola Mihailovski, a prominent literary and enlightened revivalist, and his son, the poet satirist Stoyan Mihailovski, were born in it. In one of the rooms, in 1863, the deer community “Napreduk” was founded.
