SHORT-TERM PAID PARKING ZONES
Short-term paid parking zones have been established across streets, boulevards, squares, and parking areas that are publicly owned by the municipality. These zones are designated and regulated based on specific schemes for their location and scope, which are sanctioned by the Sofia Municipal Council and implemented under orders from the Mayor of Sofia Municipality, as per the authority granted by law.
These zones are specifically tailored for road vehicles that do not exceed a maximum weight of 2.5 tons and are equipped to accommodate no more than 12 passengers, including vans and buses.
In Sofia, short-term paid parking is categorized into two distinct types:
1. “BLUE ZONE”:
