The South Park of Sofia, with a total area of 134 hectares, is situated in the “Triaditsa” area and is a favored and frequently visited destination for both the city’s residents and visitors. The park features decorative pavements, a children’s sector with multiple playgrounds, water facilities, fitness equipment, spacious meadows for strolls, and small restaurants. Visitors can enjoy activities such as roller coasters or opt for rickshaw rides. The park is home to 65 bird species, with 29 of them being protected and two listed in the Red Book of Bulgaria. The Pearl River traverses the park, eventually joining the Iskar River. Additionally, a concert stage in the South Park hosts frequent free concerts for the public.
